first steps

First steps into the world of mixed-media.  I made this for a Danish friend's Hens weekend.  There's a lovely tradition in Denmark of everyone giving the bride-to-be a small gift symbolising thier friendship with her.  It's then up to the bride to guess which gift is from whom.  As a trial of mixed-media, I made this for her.

Wow! You are so clever Bear. I thought the gowns were the red wild poppies seen in european fields in spring-summer on my first glance - and until I saw elle's comment. It's such a pity that you couldn't be there but I'm sure Christina will be thrilled when she gets it. SB

This is just beautiful! Did she guess who it was from and what it means?

I went to a Hen's the other day and we also played this game...I think it's a fantastic ice-breaker...and tradition!
