This week's assignment was 'composition and perspective' using a still life. The task was to take 5 or 6 photos from different angles, perspectives and focus points using the same initial still life composition.
My still life took on a life of it's own (excuse the pun) as I looked around our apartment for interesting shapes and textures to use. I initially thought about an easter theme, but the Monkey had other ideas! Before I knew it he had set himself up a lovely little game with the Backgammon board, a pack of cards and won himself a whole lot of money. Naughty monkey! I had fun, hope you enjoy the pictures too.

I'm away this weekend on a computer-free holiday - bliss! I'll be checking back in on Sunday or Monday to see what everyone else from the C&C Photography workshop has done with their assignments. If you're interested in seeing what everyone else involved in the workshop is up to you'll find the links to everyone's blogs at C&C Photography.

Very creative...I like your different angles and perspectives, your work speaks volumes.
Have a great weekend.
Oh that is too funny. I hope the cheeky monkey is winning some money. I like the bottom left shot...

I liked your post that went with the photos, like a little story. The photos remind me of the books my kids and I love where you have to find a list of things in the photo. Anyway...I loved photo one of the monkey's perspective. I also loved the color and warmth of your shots. Good work!
That's funny, I like your sense of humor and story-telling through the photos. Interesting perspectives and great composition, too!
It's true that the storytelling adds an additional richness to these photos. I especially like the stack of coins...the colors and composition.
Wonderful series...your collage still lifes are great! Those are very hard to do!! Good job!
So fun! I love the out of focus shot...the colors on monkey look beautiful. And the game pieces look like chocolate! Now I need a Reese's!

Very funny monkey you've got there :) Love how (it looks like) the scene changes the more money he gets his hands on :) The burgundy, the red, the wood, the chocolate colours... I love your set-up, a lot!! & your story makes it fun :)
Hope you had a great break away, can't wait to hear all about it! And your monkey is adorable by the way, great photos.
Inspiring work, Bear. I must charge the battery! I have a new camera - a birthday present, which I still haven't tried out!
i totally love your subject and theme!!!!! the monkey's fabric is captured so well in the first photo..as well as the gold in the third, and then the blurred one is perfect for getting a sense of the whole scene. pretty awesome....
