Fairytale Wedding

I think I am perhaps the most dreadful wedding photographer around. I carry my camera around in my hand but forget almost completely to take any pictures. I get caught up in the moment, want to throw rose petals and cheer and hug and tell everyone how beautiful the bride is and how it's just like a fairytale English wedding. You know, like the ones you read about or see in the movies? Because it was; even down to the country village church, "Bride's friends on the left, Groom's on the right, family in the middle" and complete with a reception in a 19th century castle. But you'll have to take my word for it because I forgot to take many photos.

Well, except for photos of the kids. I fell in love with my friends' kids.

I have the opposite problem, when I'm at a wedding and not supposed to take pictures I stand around a little awkwardly not knowing what to do :-)
Beautiful pictures, especially the second one!

Clare you make me laugh with your honesty. You feel "real" and I like that.
I love that RR tracks view, the kiss under falling petals, and the trypt. of the little boy. I can see why you fell in love.

I would be a horrible wedding photographer -- there would be way too many photos of the food and not enough of the bride & groom. You did a lovely job though. It really is a fairytale wedding.

I'm such a sucker for a wedding...

Even though I'm married and had 2 ceremonies (one in the US and one in NZ, since I'm an expat Kiwi in NY), I'm glued to Say Yes to the Dress (my very guilty pleasure), read every bridal magazine I come across, and live for the blog Ruffled. Maybe another wedding for me?

Photos are lovely - seem very of the moment. Like the pop of blue in the suits.

These photos are wonderful and your description of her wedding is certainly magical! It's tough to be present and also document. Lovely shots
