Mabel Pike

I saw this last week on Poppytalk and couldn't resist re-posting it this weekend. If you only have a few spare minutes the first 30 seconds are wonderful - Mabel tells the story of her passion for her art in a way that I think we can all relate to. Had me nodding my head and saying "Yes, exactly!" as I was listening.

So inspiring. This feeling of losing oneself in what we love to do...I wish I felt that more often. When it happens it really is the best. This is a great reminder of why I choose the hobbies I do, thanks for that reminder. What a lovely woman this is.

Gosh, I hope my hands still work like that when I'm 90. One of my biggest fears, as I head further into my forties, and my body continues to change, is arthritic hands, as both my grandmothers suffered from arthritis. It would be a very sad day if I couldn't knit. Very inspirational!
