Giveaway... Winners!

Amongst all the excitment of my trip to Istanbul, I nearly forgot to announce the winners of my little giveaway.  I used a sophisticated technique of pulling two names out of the mortar and pestle (well, not the pestle), and arrived at... Helen from Bellsknits and It's Simple Love.

And the Favicon Winner is ... me!

Guess what happened on Friday?  I won Angela's "Friday Favicon Freebie".  What's a favicon I here you asking?  Well, if you look up to where my web address is at the top of your internet browers you'll notice a wee little flower in exactly the same colours as my blogger heading.  That's no coincidence. Nope. Angela made it for me!  And she wrote the internet code for how to insert it into my blog and then she gave instructions in english about how I can tamper with that code and make my Favicon appear.  Angela gives a Favicon to one of her readers every Friday so winning couldn't be easier.  All you have to do is read her blog - which you really want to do anyway.  Cool huh?

Hello!  Welcome and thanks for making the journey over to my new blog.  I'm very excited about this move - it's a little like moving house with all the uploading and down-loading and sorting and choosing where everything should go. And like any move there are still a few glitches to iron out.  Bare with me over the next few weeks as I un-pack my boxes.

But.... to celebrate my move I thought I'd host a little giveaway.

I'm having a small moment of weakness where the "rules" that I set myself about what I would and would not post here are crumbling.  You see, I like the idea of other people's blog giveaways.  I even understand cross-advertising and self-promotion.  But I don't like having to post about people's giveaways on my blog in order to be eligible to win.  So normally I don't.  But.  I love paper.  I especially love wrapping paper.  I love thinking about all the wonderful things I could make and wrap and give to people with paper.  And The Gilded Bee makes beautiful paper things to decorate and wrap presents with.  And she's having a give away.  And I want to win.  And so I'm blogging about it.
