I'm a city girl really. I'd miss good coffee, the theatre, music and restaurants too much if I ever up and moved to a farm. But every now and then I like to imagine that I would be happy to live miles from anywhere and tend my chickens and swim in the dam and wake up smelling the gum trees. Thankfully my parents have a place where I can do just that.
Oh, and my new favourite black and white processing is something called "heartland" from Pinoneer Woman's Actions. Works well on any super-saturated shots.

oh you are SO lucky your parents have a place like that. I'm a city girl as well, I like the stimulation, but I do wonder what it would be like to live on a farm :)
This looks like a delightful retreat. That porch...ahhh. I also love that first shot of the hanging rust covered tools.
i like your second pic with the dam, the statue looks really good from that angle. xox
I love these shots, it's funny because after 5 years of living in the country we are now moving back to the city - grass is always greener isn't it?
What an amazing place -- and gorgeous photos to go with it! I'm torn between the city and country: I like the quietness of the country and I'd love to have enough land to have a little farm, but all the things to do in the city, all the places to learn...I don't think I could live without that.
Beautiful photos - what a heavenly place
I was wondering about that sepiaish effect, thanks for the link. This looks like a perfect vacation. Great shots!
Oh, these photos are lovely! And your parents' house is beautiful!! I'm like you - I love living in the city for all the culture and such, but it would be nice to relax in the country for awhile. (Preferably the English countryside for me...) :)
I could not agree more about how nice it is to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life! Looks like a wonderful place!
